World War 1 Memorial

Work on the World War 1 memorial at The Crescent, Dundalk has been completed. A launch event was held on 27th October 2022. Speakers at the launch event included Chief Executive Joan Martin, Cathaoirleach Councillor Conor Keelan and historian Dr. Donal Hall. There was an excellent turnout at the event with students from Coláiste Chú Chulainn, Members of the Defence Forces, Members of An Garda Síochána, Councillors, Members of the World War 1 Committee and members of the public attending. Speakers thanked the Special EU Programmes Body for funding and facilitating the project under the PEACE IV, Shared Spaces funding programme.
